What dua should I say when leaving the house?
Say: bismi‑llah, tawakkaltu `ala‑llah, la hawla wa la quwwata illa bi‑llah (in the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, there is no power or strength except by Allah). Reported in Sunan Abi Dawud 5095. The angel says you have been guided, protected, and sufficed, and Shaytan withdraws.

The full report in Abi Dawud 5095 (graded sahih) says one angel says "you have been guided," another "you have been protected," and a third "you have been sufficed." Shaytan then says to another devil: what can you do with a man who has been guided, protected, and sufficed.
Leave with the left foot when you can, mirroring the entry rule.
This dua is short enough to memorise in one afternoon and long enough in reward to make it a lifelong habit.
