Do I need wudu to do dhikr?

No. Wudu is not required for dhikr. It is required for salah and, per most scholars, for touching the physical Mus-haf. Dhikr in any state of purity is valid, and being in wudu is better.

Detail

Aisha said the Prophet used to remember Allah at all times (Sahih Muslim 373). This includes states without wudu.

Wudu adds spiritual weight and calm focus, so make it the default when practical. Do not delay dhikr to make wudu though. Say it now.

Menstruating women, people who cannot use water, and anyone away from a sink can all continue dhikr uninterrupted.
