Can I do dhikr while walking?

Yes. Dhikr while walking is Sunnah. Surah Al Imran 3:191 commends remembering Allah in every posture, and walking counts as standing. Silent or under-the-breath is best in public spaces.

Detail

The Prophet said, whoever leaves his house saying "in the name of Allah, I put my trust in Allah, there is no power or strength except by Allah" is guided and protected (Sunan Abi Dawud 5095).

Walking dhikr does not need a target. Say one short phrase per breath, or one per step, and let the rhythm carry you.

For a target, a digital counter in your pocket with big taps means you can keep score without stopping.
