What dua should I say before eating?
Say bismillah (in the name of Allah) before you start eating. If you forget and remember partway through, say: bismillahi awwalahu wa akhirah (in the name of Allah, at its start and its end). Reported in Sunan Abi Dawud 3767.

The Prophet said, "When one of you eats, let him mention the name of Allah" (Sunan Abi Dawud 3767, graded sahih).
The fallback for a forgotten bismillah, bismillahi awwalahu wa akhirah, is in the same collection and expels any share Shaytan took from the food.
Follow the meal with alhamdulillah ("praise be to Allah") or the longer dua after eating.
