Online counter. How it works and what it is for

An online counter is a counting tool you open in a browser instead of buying or installing. This one starts instantly, counts on click, tap or spacebar, and keeps your total on your own device. There is no sign-up and no advertising, so the page you land on is the counter itself rather than a wall of banners.

How do you use an online counter?

Open the page, then click, tap or press the spacebar once for each thing you are counting. The number is shown large in the centre. Undo removes a mistaken count, reset returns to zero after a confirmation, and target mode marks the point where you have counted enough.

Is an online counter accurate?

It is as accurate as your presses. The advantage over paper tallies is that you cannot miscount your own marks, and the advantage over a mechanical counter is undo: a double press costs you one tap to correct rather than an entire recount.

Do you need an account to use an online counter?

Not here. Counts are held in your own browser, which is why no account is needed. The trade-off is that clearing your browser data clears the count, and that your count does not follow you to another device.

Frequently asked questions

What is an online counter?

An online counter is a web page that keeps a running total for you, replacing a handheld clicker or marks on paper.

Is the online counter free to use?

Yes, with no adverts, no account and no limits on how much you count.

Is this counter free?

Yes. It is free to use, has no adverts, no premium tier and no sign-up. Every feature is available to everyone.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Once the page has loaded once, the counter keeps working with no internet connection and your count is kept on your device.

Is my count saved if I close the tab?

Yes. The current count is stored in your browser on your own device, so reopening the page picks up where you left off. Clearing your browser data clears the count.
